The Yacht Collection brings the elegance and sporty lightness of the classic Yacht-Master line into the Seiko modding universe. While the Sub-collection focuses on a purely utilitarian aesthetic, the Yacht line is decidedly more sophisticated: polished bezels with a matte platinum or rose gold finish, raised bezel lettering, sunburst or soleil dials in deep blue, black, or anthracite—this line works just as well on the water as it does with a suit jacket.

Technically, we’re building on a proven foundation: Seiko NH35 automatic movement, 200 m water resistance, fully screw-down crown, double-coated sapphire crystal, bidirectional rotating bezel with 60 click stops (for calculating leg times while sailing—not just for decoration). The case is available in 40 mm and the more compact 38 mm sizes, both with straight, fully screw-down lugs.

The distinctive feature of the Yacht-Mod is the bezel with raised numerals. Unlike diver models, whose bezel rings typically feature recessed aluminum or ceramic inserts, the Yacht bezel is entirely milled from solid steel—the numerals are machined from solid material, then polished or finished with a PVD coating (rose gold or matte platinum). This gives the watch a distinctly more refined appearance.

The dial is classically sporty: applied bar or arrow indices, high-intensity BGW9 lume, Mercedes hands, or classic baton hands—whichever you prefer. The two-tone configurations with a rhodium-plated main dial and color-accented second hands are very popular.

If you’re choosing between the Sub and Yacht models, ask yourself: Am I looking for a pure tool watch (Sub) or a sporty-elegant all-rounder (Yacht)? The Yacht is the more straightforward choice for everyday wear—it pairs just as well with a T-shirt as it does with a dress shirt, and thanks to its matte bezel finish, it usually looks a bit less shiny on the wrist than a fully polished Sub.
