Quality takes time.
Black with a sunburst finish and silver numerals in Arabic-Indic script: the DAY MOD - BLACK ARABIC is the highest-contrast watch among the models with Eastern Arabic numerals. It runs on an NH35 automatic movement with a date display, with the date at 3 o'clock. There is no day-of-the-week display. At 12 o'clock there is a window with Arabic script. The 316L stainless steel case measures 40.5 mm, a fluted bezel frames the dial, and it sits on a five-row Jubilee bracelet.
The black is anything but flat. Fine rays run from the centre to the edge, and tilted into the light the deep black turns into a dark anthracite with a bright wedge travelling across it. On top sit the Eastern Arabic numerals in silver, cleanly drawn and easy to read from most angles. The result is a watch that suits a dark suit just as well as jeans and a leather jacket, at the office during the week and at a restaurant table on the weekend.
Within the line, black is the quietest tone. The two blue sisters with the same script, one baby blue and one royal blue, bring colour into play and sit in 40 mm cases. The grey Arabic DAY MOD shares the 40.5 mm size and the Jubilee bracelet with this watch but sets stones on a grey gradient. If you are after clear numerals on a dark ground, this is the one.

A Seiko mod is a modified watch that uses an authentic Seiko movement, combined with third-party high-quality parts. Most of our watches come in stainless steel with sapphire crystal.
