The date display at three o'clock is mechanically integrated into the movement — no battery dependency, no electronic date corrector. With the exhibition case back, the movement is on show through the window, oscillating visibly with every movement of your wrist.

Grey with green numerals: distance to white, grooves and olive

What stands out here is the distribution of colour: a grey dial on which the Roman numerals are green with a dark outline, plus a triangle at twelve and minute numerals in the outer ring. At nine there is a pale bar instead of a numeral, and the grey has a sunburst that grows lighter towards the centre. The date sits at three o'clock under a magnifier, the hour and minute hands are pale bars, and a long, thin seconds hand runs along. Date Mod Classic Mod White Roman uses the same script in a different cast: white ground, silver-toned numerals, bar indices in between and no ring of numbers. The white dial therefore looks more single-coloured, but just as clearly arranged.

With Date Mod Classic Mod Green Arabic this watch shares only the green tone in the lettering: there, Arabic numerals in silver stand on a green grooved dial, twelve in all, with no date. Date Mod Classic Mod Olive Arabic lies between: deep olive with a brighter band at its centre, Arabic numerals in a subdued tone, a date window at three o'clock. Case, fluted bezel and five-row steel bracelet are the same throughout, as are the NH35, the screw-down crown and a diameter between 36 and 41 mm. Anyone wanting two colours on the dial finds them here; anyone preferring tone on tone looks at the two greens, and anyone who does not want the date on the dial looks at the grooved one. Roman script is shared only with the white sibling; the two greens rely on Arabic numerals.
