Choose the colour, indices and hands together

Look beyond dial colour: compare the contrast of the hands, the shape of the indices and the finish. Sunburst, open skeleton designs and meteorite-style dials each create a different look. DAY models provide concrete colour combinations with Arabic or Roman numerals.

Which dimensions and positions matter?

For a dial replacement, a watchmaker checks the diameter, movement attachment and date-window alignment relative to the crown. Case diameter is not a dial measurement. The NH35 has separate technical drawings for its dial, hand fitting and casing; fit depends on the exact component reference.

What does the watch dial do?

It carries the hour markers and provides the background for the hands. Colour, indices and finish shape the design; contrast and, where fitted, luminous material help with legibility.

Does every Seiko mod dial fit every NH35 mod?

The movement name alone does not establish fit. The exact dial diameter, attachment and date window need to be checked against the movement and case.
