Diamond Detail, NH35 Backbone

Turquoise framed by stones

On the Naut Mod turquoise (Diamond), a bezel set entirely with rectangular-cut clear stones runs around the dial. The indices here are not filled batons either, but elongated clear stones, doubled at the top. The dial itself is turquoise with horizontal grooves and darkens slightly towards the edge; a date window sits on the right, and case and integrated link bracelet are steel-toned. The Naut Mod turquoise wears the same turquoise without any stone setting: a smooth, steel-coloured bezel, light-filled baton indices and a date on the right as well – calmer in appearance and closer to an everyday watch. The Naut Mod Sunburst Green is just as plainly built, but relies on a strong green with a light glow from the centre. The Naut Mod Snow White (Open Heart) shows a third route: a white grooved dial with a round aperture on the left at 9 o'clock, in which gold-toned movement parts are visible, and no date window.

This watch and its two smooth siblings run on an NH35 automatic movement, the white one on an NH38. All four share the 41 mm case size and sapphire crystal. The stone bezel is meant for plenty of sparkle around a coloured dial.

Turquoise, with stones where bars usually stand

Instead of filled bars, the hours here carry elongated, clear stones, a pair at the top, and in addition a ring of rectangular-cut stones lies around the dial on the bezel. The turquoise of the dial grows slightly darker towards the rim, fine horizontal grooves cross it, a date window sits at the right, while the hands are slim batons in a silver tone, accompanied by a thin, pale seconds hand. Case and bracelet are both steel-coloured, so that the sparkle of the stones and the turquoise remain the only accents, and nothing about the frame distracts from them. An NH35 works as the movement, and the size is 41 mm.

Naut Mod Red Classic keeps the steel but uses a red dial that runs dark to black towards the rim, along with bars filled white and set in silver and a smooth, brushed bezel without setting. Naut Mod Beige (Diamond Bezel) carries the same ring of stones on the bezel, but has a grey-beige dial and steel-coloured bars with a pale filling where this watch has its stones. Naut Mod Rose Gold in Blue manages entirely without stones: a case in rose gold, a smooth bezel, a dark blue dial with an almost black rim and white-filled bars. Anyone who wants to combine the turquoise with sparkle in two places at once, at the rim and on the indices, finds that only on this watch; anyone who prefers a calm frame with a coloured dial looks to the red or the rose-gold one. All four have the sapphire crystal over the dial, and each of the four watches measures 41 mm.
