DAY MOD - VANILLA ROMAN

Vanilla gold is the quiet end of gold. The DAY MOD Vanilla Roman wears a pale, warm cream-gold dial — closer to unbleached linen in daylight, sliding toward soft antique gold under a lamp. It sits in the gap between a cold silver dial and a full yellow one: warm enough to be noticed, light enough to wear with a shirt or a knit without turning into a statement piece. Every watch is hand-assembled by MedoMods in Germany.

The movement

An automatic movement drives the watch, with day and date combined in one display. It winds itself from the motion of your wrist — nothing to replace, nothing to plug in. Day and date together cover the two things people actually check, and the exhibition caseback lets you watch the mechanism doing the work.

Case and crystal

The case is 40 mm stainless steel, a size that sits flat and slides under a cuff instead of catching on it. Sapphire crystal sits on top and shrugs off the scuffs that dull softer glass. The screw-down crown seals the case, and the watch is rated to 5 ATM, so rain, splashes and washing your hands are non-events.

Dial and design

Roman numerals meet slim baton markers on the pale vanilla ground. The contrast is softer here than it would be on white or silver: the serifs never cut hard into the surface, they settle into the warm dial almost like engraving. That is exactly why this colour suits roman numerals — it takes the formality out of them without swallowing them. The batons hold the layout in order, so you still read the time at arm's length. Super-LumiNova on the indices keeps it legible after dark.

On the wrist

It ships on a steel bracelet, your choice of President, Oyster or Jubilee. The choice changes the watch more than you would expect: President leans into the dressier side of the vanilla dial, Oyster keeps it matter-of-fact, Jubilee gives the softest drape. At 40 mm it stays in proportion on slim and broad wrists alike.
