Mariner Mod - Deepsea Blue

The Mariner Mod Deepsea Blue is a sport-diver Seiko mod built for people who want genuine dive-watch character without the five-figure price tag. Its deep-ocean blue dial pulls your eye immediately — a rich, saturated tone that reads differently under tungsten light than it does in full sun, giving the watch a restless depth that flat colours never achieve. The bidirectional bezel lets you track elapsed time the way a real dive instrument should, and the 40 mm stainless steel case sits squarely in the sweet spot between wrist-filling presence and all-day comfort.

Movement

Inside sits the Seiko NH35 automatic movement — hacking, hand-winding, roughly 41 hours of power reserve, 21,600 bph. It is the same workhorse found in watches costing three or four times more, and it earns that reputation every day. Every unit leaves the MedoMods bench regulated and function-tested before it ships.

Case & Crystal

The 40 mm case is machined from stainless steel, polished where it should be polished, brushed where it should be brushed. The screw-down crown keeps the rated 5 ATM splash and rain resistance intact under daily conditions. Up top, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating keeps glare out and legibility in — at any angle, in any light.

Dial & Design

Deepsea Blue is not a generic navy. It is the particular shade you see at twenty metres below the surface — cool, saturated, with just enough luminance to glow under Super-LumiNova indices. Applied hour markers and hands are loaded with lume for confident low-light reading. The bidirectional bezel adds a functional, sporting edge without making the watch look like it is trying too hard.

• Every watch comes with a 2-year warranty from delivery. It covers manufacturing defects and functional problems under normal use. It doesn't cover scratches, damage from opening the watch, or water damage.
