Quality takes time.
The Naut Mod Black draws its design DNA from the porthole — that round, riveted window found on the hull of ocean-going ships. The rounded octagonal case, the horizontally textured dial, the robust integrated bracelet: together they form one of watchmaking's most distinctive integrated-bracelet sport silhouettes, reinterpreted here by MedoMods as a hand-assembled Seiko mod. This is not a lookalike — it is a careful craft build that takes inspiration from a naval aesthetic and makes it entirely its own through careful component selection and assembly.
The Naut Mod Black runs the Seiko NH35 automatic — a movement renowned in the modding community for its reliability, serviceability, and smooth winding rotor. Hacking seconds and manual winding are both supported, making time-setting precise and practical. With approximately 41 hours of power reserve the watch keeps running through a weekend of inactivity. The exhibition case back reveals the movement in full.
The 41 mm stainless steel case integrates seamlessly into the bracelet — one of the defining characteristics of this design language. A screw-down crown delivers 5 ATM water resistance, making the watch suitable for everyday wear. The sapphire crystal resists scratches and comes with Super-LumiNova application, ensuring the dial stays legible when light drops. The butterfly safety folding clasp on the bracelet holds firmly throughout the day without the bulk of a traditional deployant.
The black horizontal-striped dial catches directional light in a way that makes the watch look different in morning sun versus indoor fluorescent — a visual dynamism that flat-painted dials simply cannot replicate. Applied baton indices and a date window at three o'clock complete a dial that is structured and purposeful without feeling busy. The overall blacked-out palette keeps the design contemporary and versatile across dress codes.
The integrated bracelet tapers gracefully from 41 mm at the case to a comfortable wrist-hugging width at the clasp. The adjustable steel links allow the fit to be dialled in precisely, and the butterfly clasp provides confidence during active wear. Wrist coverage is substantial — this is a watch that makes its presence known — but the clean lines prevent it from feeling overwhelming even on a slender wrist.
Hand-assembled, individually regulated and tested before dispatch, the Naut Mod Black is a Seiko mod that punches well above its price. Worldwide shipping with tracking – within the EU free of customs surprises. For anyone drawn to the porthole-inspired integrated-bracelet sport aesthetic but unwilling to spend what Swiss houses charge for it, this is a compelling, honest alternative built around a proven Japanese automatic movement.

A Seiko mod is a modified watch that uses an authentic Seiko movement, combined with third-party high-quality parts. Most of our watches come in stainless steel with sapphire crystal.
It usually takes 10–12 days from order to delivery. The reason: we build every watch by hand only after you order it. It then goes through quality control, and only after that do we ship it. With Priority Build (an optional extra for €9.99, chosen on the product page) your watch moves to the front of the bench.
Absolutely. Send us an email with your order number and full name after ordering, stating your desired design or that you want to remove the logo. You can also leave a note at checkout, or contact us before ordering.
Yes. Every watch comes with a 2-year warranty from delivery. It covers manufacturing defects and functional problems under normal use. It doesn't cover scratches, damage from opening the watch, or water damage. If your watch is rated 5 ATM, hand-washing and rain are fine. Avoid diving, hot water and showering.
MedoMods is run by AM GbR, based in Leimen near Heidelberg, Germany. Our address and VAT ID are in the legal notice. You pay through Stripe, for example by card, PayPal or Klarna, and your card details never reach us. For deliveries to the UK, USA and Australia, we offer 14-day returns from delivery. We do not charge an additional restocking fee. We issue refunds within 4 calendar days after receiving the return. Every watch comes with a 2-year warranty. You can find our seller ratings on eBay.
We push prices down as much as we can. We believe many comparable watches are overpriced because shops bundle extras (like extra straps) into the price. We let you choose what you want, so you only pay for what you actually need.
Yes. We source from suppliers who sell authentic Seiko movements. The specific movement is listed on each model’s product page. If you suspect that your watch contains the wrong movement or a non-genuine one, contact us with your order number and a description.

„Elegí esta versión por un detalle concreto: el tono negro y la silueta Naut. En persona el diseño se ve muy cuidado.“

„Finishen var det jeg lurte mest på. Jeg så nøye på Naut-kasseformen og den svarte fargen. Nå er jeg trygg på valget.“
