Quality takes time.
The Tona Mod Goldie takes the sport-chronograph formula and turns up the warmth. A gold-toned dial sits against steel subdials and a tachymeter ring, giving this handcrafted Seiko Mod a character that is bold without being flashy. Built at MedoMods from individually selected components, the Goldie is for the enthusiast who wants a chronograph that reads as elevated — not just sporty.
The Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz hybrid is the right engine for this build. Pushers actuate a mechanical column wheel mechanism — that tactile snap is real — while quartz regulation keeps the hands honest over months of continuous wear. No winding ritual, no servicing anxiety, just reliable timing every time you reach for the pusher.
40 mm stainless steel case – compact proportions that translate well in both professional and casual contexts
Sapphire crystal with Super-LumiNova indices – clear view through tough glass, with luminous markers that work when the lights go down
Screw-down crown & 5 ATM water resistance – everyday weather-resistance built in; not a pool watch, but splash-proof without a second thought
Tachymeter bezel – the classic racing scale ties the whole sport-chronograph design together visually and functionally
904L stainless steel bracelet – adjustable 14.5–22 cm, 20 mm lug width; corrosion-resistant high-grade steel with a finish that holds up to daily wear
Gold-dial chronographs occupy a specific niche: dressy enough for the office, structured enough for a weekend. The Goldie lands squarely there. The warm dial tone contrasts with the steel case and bracelet in a way that photographs well and wears even better. If you want one Seiko Mod chronograph that can pull double duty across contexts, this is a strong answer.
Hand-assembled by MedoMods. Worldwide shipping with tracking – within the EU with no customs overhead, unlike Asian imports. Reach out if you want to know more about the dial finish before ordering.

A Seiko mod is a modified watch that uses an authentic Seiko movement, combined with third-party high-quality parts. Most of our watches come in stainless steel with sapphire crystal.
It usually takes 10–12 days from order to delivery. The reason: we build every watch by hand only after you order it. It then goes through quality control, and only after that do we ship it. With Priority Build (an optional extra for €9.99, chosen on the product page) your watch moves to the front of the bench.
Absolutely. Send us an email with your order number and full name after ordering, stating your desired design or that you want to remove the logo. You can also leave a note at checkout, or contact us before ordering.
Yes. Every watch comes with a 2-year warranty from delivery. It covers manufacturing defects and functional problems under normal use. It doesn't cover scratches, damage from opening the watch, or water damage. If your watch is rated 5 ATM, hand-washing and rain are fine. Avoid diving, hot water and showering.
MedoMods is run by AM GbR, based in Leimen near Heidelberg, Germany. Our address and VAT ID are in the legal notice. You pay through Stripe, for example by card, PayPal or Klarna, and your card details never reach us. For deliveries to the UK, USA and Australia, we offer 14-day returns from delivery. We do not charge an additional restocking fee. We issue refunds within 4 calendar days after receiving the return. Every watch comes with a 2-year warranty. You can find our seller ratings on eBay.
We push prices down as much as we can. We believe many comparable watches are overpriced because shops bundle extras (like extra straps) into the price. We let you choose what you want, so you only pay for what you actually need.
Yes. We source from suppliers who sell authentic Seiko movements. The specific movement is listed on each model’s product page. If you suspect that your watch contains the wrong movement or a non-genuine one, contact us with your order number and a description.
