A chronograph Seiko mod adds a stopwatch to the watch: pushers on the case start, stop and reset the chronograph hand, and sub-dials sit on the dial. Every watch in this selection is offered with the Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz movement, a battery-powered hybrid. A quartz oscillator keeps the time, while the chronograph is operated through the pushers.

The selection brings together the chronographs from several MedoMods families: the TONA MOD line with its racing-style layout, the OAK MOD chronographs and the MASTER MOD chronographs. All of them have a stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and 5 ATM water resistance. Each watch is hand-assembled and individually checked by MedoMods, then shipped worldwide — duty-free within the EU.

Three case families, one chronograph movement

The TONA MOD collection is the largest group, with 40 mm cases from TONA MOD - PANDA to TONA MOD - ALPINE GREEN. The chronographs in the OAK MOD collection have 41 or 41.5 mm cases, for example OAK MOD | Chronograph – Black Dial. MASTER MOD - RACING PANDA pairs a 40 mm case with a black tachymeter bezel and a perforated leather strap. Each product page states the case size.

How a Meca-Quartz chronograph works

The VK63 is a battery-powered Meca-Quartz chronograph movement. Timekeeping is quartz, and the chronograph hand is started, stopped and reset with the pushers. That sets it apart from the NH35 automatic movement used in many other MedoMods watches. The VK63 guide explains the movement in detail.

Which movement do the chronograph Seiko mods use?

The watches in this selection are offered with the Seiko VK63 Meca-Quartz movement. It is battery-powered, keeps time with a quartz oscillator and has a chronograph operated by pushers.

Is the chronograph functional or decorative?

With the VK63 movement the chronograph works. One model, TONA MOD | Black Dial, Decorative Hour Markers – 40 mm, is also offered with an NH35 automatic movement. In that version the pushers and sub-dials are decorative and do not work as a chronograph.

Which case sizes are available?

The TONA MOD and MASTER MOD chronographs have a 40 mm case. The OAK MOD chronographs measure 41 or 41.5 mm, depending on the model.
