Dark brown with a sunburst finish, set into rose gold tone: the DAY MOD - ROSE GOLD - CHOCOLATE is the warm, dark watch of the line. Ten light baton markers in rose gold-tone frames divide the dial, and the date sits beneath a magnifier at 3 o'clock. Case, fluted bezel and three-row link bracelet repeat one rose gold tone across 40 mm of 316L stainless steel, so brown and metal look as if they were made in one piece. There is no day-of-the-week display. There are no numerals on this dial at all.

Brown and rose gold tone are one of those pairings in which each makes the other warmer: the metal gains depth, the dial a reddish shimmer. Brown dial, light markers

The sunburst finish makes the brown radiate from the centre: in direct light it recalls milk chocolate, in the shade it turns almost black-brown. The baton markers have a light filling and rose gold-tone frames, which is why they stand out clearly from the dark ground. Above the brown, the baton hands repeat that recipe, light filling inside a rose gold-tone edge, while the thin seconds hand is rose gold-tone throughout. Luminous material on the markers keeps the chocolate dial readable once the light fades.

The movement behind it

The Chocolate is driven by the NH35, an automatic movement that shows the date. Wrist movement keeps it wound, the crown lets you top it up by hand, and for setting the time the seconds hand comes to a halt.
