The Day Mod White starts from a softer off-white instead: #D6D6D2, a shade carrying a trace of grey, closer to good paper than to a screen. The gap is tiny on a colour card and decisive on the wrist — the dial stays bright without flaring in direct sun, and the day and date stay calm to read when everything around them is harsh. Underneath sits an automatic movement in a 40 mm stainless steel case, under sapphire.

Movement

The Day Mod White runs an automatic movement with a combined day and date complication. Both windows advance mechanically and both are set from the same crown, so there is no extra sequence to memorise. It winds itself as you wear it and takes a hand-wind after a few days off the wrist. Case & Crystal

40 mm is the right diameter for a day-date: enough dial to carry two windows without crowding them. Sapphire earns its place more here than on a dark dial — against a pale ground, every fine scratch in the glass reads as a shadow, and sapphire is what keeps that from happening. The screw-down crown holds 5 ATM, which covers rain, hand washing and a short swim. Super-LumiNova on the indices takes over the moment the light drops.

Dial & Design

#D6D6D2 is not white straight out of the tin. The trace of grey takes the hard edge off the surface and warms it against steel, where a true white can turn clinical fast. The day is spelled out at twelve and the date sits at three — the classic DAY MOD layout, symmetrical and readable without hunting for it. The indices define themselves against the pale ground without snapping into harsh contrast.
