Movement

The case is 40 mm of stainless steel: enough presence to be noticed, enough restraint to slide under a shirt cuff. A screw-down crown and 5 ATM water resistance cover ordinary life — rain, a sink, a downpour on the walk home. Sapphire crystal takes the knocks that a desk edge and a car door hand out, and Super-LumiNova on the indices keeps the dial legible once the light drops.

Dial & Design

Anthracite (#555554) is a neutral in the strict sense: no blue cast, no green undertone, no warm drift towards brown. What it does have is range. Under a ceiling light it reads as soft charcoal; in daylight it lifts and shows its texture; at dusk it settles close to black. Against that ground the day and date windows sit cleanly, and the luminous indices give contrast that never tips into glare.

On the Wrist

A grey dial is the least demanding thing you can wear. Anthracite goes with navy, olive, denim and brown without any thought at all, which makes this the watch that stays on the wrist for a week at a time rather than getting rotated out.
