GMT Mod - Blueberry

Movement

The Seiko NH34 automatic movement is the correct choice for a proper GMT watch — unlike workarounds that use a date hand or decorated subsidiary dial, the NH34 provides a genuine fourth hand that can be set to a second time zone independently of the hour hand. Hacking seconds and hand-winding are both supported. Power reserve and beat rate are consistent with the NH35 family, making the NH34 one of the most practical GMT movements available at this price point.

Case & Crystal

The 40 mm stainless steel case is sized for all-day wear without sacrificing wrist presence. The screw-down crown maintains 5 ATM water resistance — adequate for everyday exposure to rain and hand washing. Sapphire crystal with Super-LumiNova on both the dial indices and GMT bezel means you can read local time, second timezone, and AM/PM at a glance even in poor light.

Dial & Design

The blueberry bezel is the conversation piece, but the overall build is coherent. The ceramic bezel insert resists fading and scratching far better than aluminium alternatives, keeping the colour accurate over years of wear. The stainless steel bracelet with safety clasp finishes the package in a way that reads as purposeful without being overdone. Fitted with an exhibition case back.
